African Culture House
The African Handicrafts and Culture House Association was founded in 2016 under the auspices of Mrs. Emine Erdoğan with the aim of making the labor of African women visible, transforming this labor into economic value and strengthening cultural solidarity. During her visits to Africa, Mrs. Emine Erdoğan observed the deep need for an initiative to support and sustain the labor and crafts of African women in a fair and dignified way. Her inspiring contacts with African women artisans paved the way for the birth of the African House of Culture.
Africa Culture House introduces the rich diversity of African culture to the public through workshops, cultural events and academic seminars. As a cultural platform, it brings together diplomats, academics, students, business representatives and civil society organizations to strengthen cultural and intellectual ties between Turkey and African countries.
