Plaque of Appreciation to Emine Erdoğan from Child and Family Services Agency
The Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA) presented a plaque of appreciation to Emine Erdoğan, who accompanied President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his visit to the United States for the Nuclear Security Summit, for Turkey's contributions.
CFSA, a public organization affiliated with the Municipality of Washington responsible for providing assistance to families in need and their children, thanked Turkey in the person of Emine Erdoğan for the contribution of the Turkish Embassy in Washington and its staff to the children.

CFSA officials attended the plaque ceremony held at the Embassy residence and hosted by Sinem Kılıç, wife of Turkish Ambassador to Washington Serdar Kılıç. The ceremony, which was also attended by Minister of Family and Social Policies Dr. Sema Ramazanoğlu, Istanbul Deputy Ravza Kavakçı and the spouses of the ministers who took part in the US visit, ended with a presentation on the work of the agency and a photo shoot.
In Washington, Emine Erdoğan also visited an Afghanistan-themed exhibition at the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery in the museum complex of the renowned Smithsonian Institution. Emine Erdoğan was accompanied by Professor Julian Raby, Director of the Smithsonian Freer and Asian Art Museums, during her visit to the exhibition and museum, which featured examples of Afghan art and described the transformation of Afghanistan. Professor Raby was awarded the Order of Merit of the Republic of Turkey in 2014 for his contributions to the promotion and glorification of Turkey in the international arena.
