Speaking at an event hosted by the Permanent Mission of Turkey to the United Nations (UN) in New York on "Solidarity with Refugees: Humanitarian Approaches to the Mediterranean, Africa and Myanmar" hosted by the Permanent Mission of Turkey to the United Nations (UN) in New York, Emine Erdoğan shared her observations on Bangladesh, which she visited to draw the attention of the international community to the humanitarian crisis in Myanmar, and explained Turkey's policy on refugees and humanitarian aid.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's wife Emine Erdoğan, who is in New York for the 72nd United Nations General Assembly, spoke at a high-level event hosted by the Permanent Mission of Turkey to the UN on "Solidarity with Refugees: Humanitarian Approaches to the Mediterranean, Africa and Myanmar" hosted by the Permanent Mission of Turkey to the UN.
Janet K. Museveni, wife of the President of Uganda, Filippo Grandi, UN High Commissioner for Refugees and William LacySwing, Director General of the International Organization for Migration attended the event held at the UN Headquarters. The invited speakers praised Turkey's sensitivity on refugees and humanitarian aid.

HUMANITARIAN CRISIS IN MYNMAR
Emine Erdoğan started her speech by sharing her observations from Bangladesh, which she visited to draw the attention of the international community to the humanitarian crisis in Mynmar. She explained Turkey's policy on refugees and humanitarian aid. Following her visit to Bangladesh, Emine Erdoğan expressed her feelings and thoughts in a letter to the wives of world leaders and published an article on the issue on CNN International.
The meeting, organized under the auspices of Emine Erdoğan, was attended by Jarmila Lajgakova Harsagova, wife of the President of the 72nd UN General Assembly; Ambassador Ayşe Sinirlioğlu, wife of the Permanent Representative of Turkey to the UN; the first ladies of Cameroon, Comoros, Guyana and Libya, as well as international representatives.
The program was also attended by Şule Akar, wife of the Chief of General Staff; İlknur Gül, wife of the Minister of Justice; Ayşen Zeybekçi, wife of the Minister of Economy; Esra Albayrak, wife of the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources; Nilüfer Bulut, President of TİKAD; Sare Aydın Yılmaz, President of KADEM; Arzu Akalın, President of TÜRGEV; İsmail Emanet, President of TÜGVA; businesswomen Demet Sabancı Çetindoğan, Meltem Demirören and civil society representatives.
