Emine Erdoğan Met with Turkish Civil Society Representatives in Somalia
In Somalia with President Erdoğan, Emine Erdoğan attended the opening ceremony of Somali-Turkey Training and Research Hospital, met with representatives of the Turkish civil society in Somalia and gave gifts to orphan students studying at the Imam-Hatip High School affiliated to the Diyanet Foundation.
Emine Erdoğan, who is in Somalia with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as part of her Africa trip, attended the opening ceremony of Somali-Turkey Training and Research Hospital.

After the opening ceremony, Emine Erdoğan visited the patients receiving treatment here and gave graduation certificates to the nurses who received training at the School of Nursing opened under the leadership of Yeryüzü Doktorları. The nurses who received the first certificate from Emine Erdoğan will work at Somali-Turkey Training and Research Hospital. At the certificate ceremony, Somalia's first female general surgeon also thanked Turkey for its health investments in Somalia.
After the opening and certificate ceremony, Emine Erdoğan met with Qamar Ali Omar, wife of President Sheikh Mahmoud, in the presence of Sümeyye Erdoğan and the daughter of the Somali President. Afterwards, Emine Erdoğan met with the representatives of the Red Crescent, IHH, Yardımeli Association, Diyanet Foundation and TIKA, and received information about the services in the region from the representatives who invest in Somalia and distribute aid materials, listened to their problems and congratulated them for their courage to be in Somalia.
During her seven-hour visit to Somalia, Emine Erdoğan also met with orphaned children under the care of Qamar Ali Omar, the wife of the President of Somalia, as well as orphaned students studying at the Imam-Hatip High School affiliated to the Diyanet Foundation, watched their performances and gave them gifts.
