The House of Culture contributes to intercultural interaction with activities ranging from music to traditional arts.

Hamamönü, located in Ankara's Altındağ district, hosts a special place that brings together the colors and richness of African culture. The African Culture House, which was launched under the leadership of Emine Erdoğan, the wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, welcomes visitors with handcrafted products, music and traditional elements brought from African countries.

The cultural heritage of Africa, the world's second largest continent with an area of approximately 30 million square kilometers, is kept alive in Ankara's historic Hamamönü district. Handcrafted products brought from various African countries are exhibited and these products are offered for sale without any profit motive. All of the proceeds are directly transferred to African women producers. The venue is also a meeting point where Africans living in Turkey come together and organize cultural events.

In the African Culture House, which consists of two sections, the ground floor and the lower floor, handcrafted products prepared by women artists from 41 African countries meet with visitors. The products, which range from handicrafts to traditional accessories, reflect the diversity of African culture.

VISIT BY TOURISM MINISTER
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy was also among the names who visited the African House of Culture.

During the visit, a promotional video introducing the activities of the center was shown.

During the program, Minister Ersoy was served African coffee and a mini concert was presented by the scholarship students of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB).

NEW PROJECTS ON THE WAY
In the coming period, the African Culture House plans to establish an "African Library" and to increase social and cultural activities focused on Africa. Officials state that the center aims to both strengthen cultural interaction and make the economic support of African women sustainable.

The African Culture House draws attention as an important cultural center in Ankara that keeps the history, art and spirit of solidarity of Africa alive.
