President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's wife Emine Erdoğan met with Oluremi Tinubu, wife of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Emine Erdoğan met with Oluremi Tinubu, who came to Istanbul upon her invitation, at Vahdettin Mansion. During the meeting, Oluremi Tinubu thanked Emine Erdoğan for her invitation and hospitality.

Emine Erdoğan congratulated Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his wife, who took office a year ago.
During the meeting, Emine Erdoğan stated that Nigeria is a very rich country with its culture and population, emphasized that Nigeria is an important friendly country for Turkey and said that she believes that relations will strengthen and increase during Tinubu's term.
Noting that Turkey has established sincere relations with friendly and brotherly African countries, Emine Erdoğan emphasized that with this understanding, they will provide all kinds of support to African countries and will stand by them in their endeavors.
Oluremi Tinubu stated that Emine Erdoğan's special interest and support for Africa is well known and that he closely follows this.
Emine Erdoğan informed Oluremi Tinubu about the "African Handicrafts and Culture House", where the handmade products of women in African countries are offered for sale and the proceeds are distributed to African women.
Stating that Nigeria has a great cultural richness with its hundreds of different ethnic groups and languages, Oluremi Tinubu expressed that he would be pleased to introduce this richness through the African Handicrafts and Culture House project.
During the meeting, Emine Erdoğan also told Tinubu about the publications on Africa, including "My Travels to Africa", "African Proverbs" and the "African Cookbook", which is currently under preparation.
During the meeting, Oluremi Tinubu emphasized that Emine Erdoğan is an African at heart, even though she was not born in one of the continent's countries, and expressed her gratitude and appreciation for Emine Erdoğan's special interest in Africa's rich culture.
During the meeting, the projects implemented to empower women and especially young people were explained to each other and opportunities for cooperation were also discussed.
In this context, Oluremi Tinubu shared information about the various activities they carry out in many fields, especially women's empowerment and social assistance.
In the meeting where the importance of education was emphasized, Oluremi Tinubu noted that the Yunus Emre Institute, which was opened by Emine Erdoğan during her last visit to Nigeria, offers good opportunities in this context.
