Emine Erdoğan Meets with Modawi, Wife of Sudanese President Al-Bashir

In Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, accompanying President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his official visit to Sudan, First Lady Emine Erdoğan met with Widad Babiker Omar Modawi, the wife of Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir.

The meeting was attended by the Sudanese Minister of Social Solidarity, Minister of Health, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Minister of State for Education, President of the Sudanese Women's Federation and President of the Federation of Business Owners, as well as members of parliament.

During the meeting, President Al-Bashir's wife Modawi thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Turkey in the person of Emine Erdoğan for their stance on Jerusalem and expressed her appreciation for Turkey's leading role in the problems of the Islamic world. For her part, Emine Erdoğan said that Turkey will always support Sudan's development process and will always stand by the friendly and brotherly Sudanese people.

The meeting, which was also attended by Chief of General Staff General Hulusi Akar and the spouses of the ministers, ended with a family photo.
