President Erdoğan's wife Emine Erdoğan met with Oluremi Tinubu, wife of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in Nigeria's capital Abuja.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's wife Emine Erdoğan went to Nigeria's capital Abuja to attend the session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Member African Countries' Anti-Cancer Awareness Raising and Support Program as the guest of honor.

Emine Erdoğan was welcomed at Abuja Airport by the Nigerian Minister of State for Police Affairs, Imaan Suleiman Ibrahim, and Turkish Ambassador to Abuja Hidayet Bayraktar and his spouse.
Later, Emine Erdoğan met with Oluremi Tinubu, wife of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja. During the meeting, Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the Nigerian President, expressed her gratitude for Emine Erdoğan's invitation to come to Abuja as the guest of honor of the program.
First Lady Tinubu shared her belief that Emine Erdoğan's participation will increase the visibility and effectiveness of the program and also informed Emine Erdoğan about the African Leaders' Wives for Development Organization.
Stating that her visit to Turkey last month was very productive, Oluremi Tinubu, wife of the Nigerian President, thanked Emine Erdoğan for hosting her.
EMİNE ERDOĞAN OPENED THE EXHIBITION OF NIGERIAN WOMEN PAINTERS
Emine Erdoğan then visited the Yunus Emre Institute in Abuja. Welcomed by Musa Erbaş, Director of Yunus Emre Institute, Maryam Maigida, President of the Association of Women Artists of Nigeria and African children, Emine Erdoğan opened the Exhibition of the Association of Women Artists of Nigeria.
Cutting the opening ribbon with Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca and African children, Emine Erdoğan examined 12 works by women artists and received information about the works.
Later, Emine Erdoğan met with Nigerian children learning Turkish at Yunus Emre Institute. During the flute recital performed by Nigerian students, the piece "Katibim" was also presented. In addition, 10 stanzas of the National Anthem memorized by the children were performed. Emine Erdoğan chatted with the children and had her photo taken.
"Raising Awareness and Support Program for African Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation against Cancer" is a continuation of the event, the first session of which was held in Istanbul in 2016 under the leadership of Emine Erdoğan. Emine Erdoğan will address the participants as the guest of honor of the opening session.

In a post on her social media account, Emine Erdoğan announced that they met with Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the Nigerian President, in Abuja.
Emine Erdoğan used the following expressions in her message: "I am pleased that this year, Nigeria is hosting the 'Raising Awareness and Support Program for African Countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation against Cancer', which is a continuation of the program, the first session of which we organized in Istanbul in 2016 as part of the 13th Islamic Summit. I sincerely thank Mr. Tinubu for pioneering such an important issue in Africa, both for the health of his own country and for the health of the world. I wish that the results of the summit will be beneficial and I believe that awareness will increase with the unity of power and heart."
