Emine Erdoğan met with Marie Khone Faye, wife of the President of Senegal

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's wife Emine Erdoğan visited the African Culture House and the Presidential National Library with Marie Khone Faye, the wife of Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, who is on an official visit to Turkey.

Emine Erdoğan first visited the African Culture House, where she was welcomed by Zeliha Sağlam, Chairperson of the Board of Directors, and chatted with African students studying in Turkey.

Afterwards, Emine Erdoğan welcomed Marie Khone Faye, wife of Senegalese President Faye, and together they visited the House of Culture. The spouses of the leaders examined the handicraft products from Senegal and other African countries exhibited here and received information about the establishment of the African House of Culture and the products.

Marie Khone Faye also examined the books "My Travels in Africa", "A Selection of African Proverbs" and "African Food Culture" published under the auspices of Emine Erdoğan. The leaders' spouses were then treated to a concert by African musicians.

VISIT TO NASRETTİN HOCA CHILDREN'S LIBRARY

Emine Erdoğan and Marie Khone Faye also visited the Presidential National Library in Beştepe.

Emine Erdoğan and Marie Khone Faye went to Cihannüma Hall and visited the section with Senegalese books. Afterwards, Emine Erdoğan and Marie Khone Faye visited Nasrettin Hodja Children's Library, chatted with the children participating in the workshops and had their photos taken.

It is learned that Marie Khone Faye expressed her admiration to Emine Erdoğan for the African Culture House and the National Library.

Emine Erdoğan posted on her social media account about the visits.

Stating that she was very pleased to welcome Faye, the wife of the President of Senegal, Emine Erdoğan said: "Together, we examined the products that come to life with the handicrafts of African women. It is our common happiness that each work skillfully shaped by African women is a hope for African women and children with a fair market understanding. Every labor that comes together under this roof is carried into the future as a strong expression of solidarity and brotherhood. With this perspective, we evaluated our areas of cooperation with Mr. Faye, especially in order to improve our cultural relations. I wish that the friendship between our countries will be permanent."

Emine Erdoğan also shared her visit to the Presidential National Library and said, "I was happy to introduce our library and the works we preserve for the common world heritage. We closely examined the books bearing the unique traces of culture and history in the Senegalese library. I hope that this friendly meeting will strengthen the bridge of hearts between our countries."
