In her post on her social account, Emine Erdoğan shared the following statements about her visit: "As part of our official visit, we met with Mrs. Entissar Amer, the esteemed wife of the President of Egypt, in Cairo. We had a fruitful meeting on social solidarity issues that closely concern humanity. Afterwards, we visited the Great Egyptian Museum, which houses more than 57 thousand artifacts that tell the history of Egypt through the ages. In the museum, where the splendor of the ancient Egyptian civilization blends with the latest technology, the deep traces of human history are presented together with rare artifacts and rich collections dating from the Pharaonic period to the present day.
Then we visited the Pyramids of Giza, the symbol of Egypt. These ancient structures rising on the desert horizon have an important place in the common memory of humanity as the epitome of a strong bond between the past and the future. I was pleased to see the Pyramid of Cheops, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. I hope that this valuable visit will be instrumental in the development of relations between our countries in every field."
