Emine Erdoğan visits the historic Kechiova Mosque in Algiers

Accompanying President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his visit to Algeria, his wife Emine Erdoğan visited mosques, tombs and museums in Algeria.

Emine Erdoğan visited the mausoleum of the Islamic scholar and Sufi Sufi great Sîdî Abdurrahman and the historic Algiers Palace, and then visited the historic Kechiova Mosque, which was built by Barbarossa Hayreddin Pasha in 1520 and is one of the symbols of Algeria's independence.

During her visit, Emine Erdoğan was welcomed by a large crowd of Algerian citizens. During her visit, Emine Erdoğan inspected the Keçiova Mosque, which is known as one of the architectural works of Algeria with high symbolic value and whose restoration by TIKA has reached the final stage, and received information from the authorities about the mosque, which is expected to be opened for worship soon, and the restoration works carried out.
