Emine Erdoğan visits School for the Hearing Impaired in Mali

Accompanying President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his official visit to Mali, his wife Emine Erdoğan visited the School for the Hearing Impaired in the capital Bamako, which was renovated and equipped by TIKA.

During the visit, TIKA restored the school's three classrooms, dining hall, courtyard and basketball court, and donated educational equipment, stationery and toys for preschool education.

Aminata Keita, wife of Mali's President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, who attended the grant delivery ceremony, thanked Emine Erdoğan for Turkey's contributions. Emine Erdoğan also expressed her belief that Mali will regain its important commercial and scholarly mission in history and become stronger.

350 hearing-impaired children were educated at the school, where students sang the National Anthem and the National Anthem of Mali in sign language. Emine Erdoğan was accompanied by the wives of the ministers in the Turkish delegation, and female ministers in the Mali government were also present at the visit and granting ceremony.
